All staff members have a current CRB(Criminal Records Bureau) and go through a rigorous process of checks prior to employment.

Julie Elsworth
My name is Julie Elsworth and I hold a Diploma Level 3 in Early Years, Level 3 in Playwork, D32/33 Assessor and 7307 in Teaching. I have 23 years experience of working in childcare in the capacity of supervisor for 8 years and then as private co-owner of First Steps Nursery in 1997. I am dedicated to supporting the First Steps Team in providing high quality care and education by nurturing learning and development to ensure that all children are provided with the best start in life that they deserve.

Elaine Williams
My name Is Elaine Williams and my childcare career path commenced in 1990 where I supervised in a local pre-school and I became private co- owner of First Steps Nursery in 1997. I hold a Level 4 in Management, Diploma Level 3 in Early Years, Level in Playwork, D32/33 Assessor and 7307 in Teaching. I value the importance of listening and working together in partnership with parents to ensure the overall well being of every child within our care is safe and secure.

Sally Dyer
My name is Sally Dyer and I have 12 years experience of working with children aged 3-16 years. I hold a Level 2 in Playwork and a Diploma level 3 in Childcare and Education and I am the Play leader of the Blues Club. I am enthusiastic about using the outdoor environment to support children’s physical development and encouraging team games that are fun and enjoyable for all ages.

Ria Brandreth
My name is Ria Brandreth and I am a Play worker in the Blues Club. I have a Level 2 in Playwork, Diploma Level 3 in Childcare and Education and Key skills level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy. I am an enthusiastic reader and love to use props and active role–play in fun ways to encourage children’s interest in books and support reading skills.
