Exciting Changes Ahead

The Bumblebee Room at First Steps Cornwall is buzzing with excitement as we implement new activities and improvements to enhance our preschool experience. Our dedicated staff has been working hard to create a nurturing environment that fosters learning and creativity among our little ones.

New Learning Activities

We’ve introduced a variety of engaging learning activities tailored to the developmental stages of our children. From sensory play with natural materials to storytime sessions that spark imagination, each day offers new opportunities for exploration. Our focus is on hands-on experiences that encourage curiosity and independence.

Sand Play Fun

In addition to water play, we’ve incorporated sand play into our curriculum. The sand area allows children to dig, build, and create, promoting fine motor skills and imaginative play. Through collaborative projects, children learn to share and work together, fostering social development in a fun and engaging way.

Water Play Adventures

One of the highlights of our updates is the addition of water play activities. Children can engage in creative water exploration using buckets, pouring tools, and water toys. This fun-filled experience enhances sensory development while teaching important concepts like measurement and cause-and-effect. Water play is a fantastic way for children to learn while having a splashing good time!

Painting Activities

We are also excited to announce new painting activities that encourage artistic expression. Children can explore various painting techniques using different materials and colors. This creative outlet not only boosts confidence but also helps develop hand-eye coordination and critical thinking skills as they make choices about their artwork.

Outdoor Play Enhancements

Recognising the importance of outdoor play, we’ve revamped our garden area. New equipment, including climbing frames and a sensory garden, allows children to connect with nature while developing physical skills. Outdoor learning promotes health and enhances social interactions among peers.

Parental Involvement

We believe that strong partnerships with parents are vital for a successful preschool experience.
